What PGkaro is

PGkaro is a marketplace and management software for PGs, hostels, co-living and rented flats. We connect tenants with owners and give owners tools for rent, bills, KYC and records. PGkaro is not the landlord and is not a party to the stay agreement between tenant and owner.

Accounts

• Give your real name and mobile number. One person, one account.
• Keep your login safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Private tenant links sent on WhatsApp work like a key — do not forward them.

For tenants

• Rent, deposit, food and other charges are paid directly to the PG owner. PGkaro does not hold this money.
• The ₹49 confirmation fee is paid to PGkaro to reserve a bed and is covered by our Refund Policy.
• House rules, notice period, lock-in and late fines are set by each owner and shown before you join.

For PG owners

• Listings must be accurate: real photos, real prices, real availability. In-app camera photos carry an "On-site photo" badge.
• You must have the right to rent the property and follow local laws, including tenant police verification.
• Featured and Promoted listings are paid placements and are always labelled as such.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly as shown on the pricing page. You can cancel any time; access runs to the end of the paid month.

Claiming a listing

Some listings come from public Google Maps information. Only the real owner or manager may claim one. Claims are approved instantly when the mobile number matches the public number, or after PGkaro checks by phone. False claims lead to account removal.

Reviews

Reviews must be honest and from real stays or visits. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive or share personal data. Google ratings are shown separately and belong to Google.

Not allowed

• Fake listings, fake reviews, or misleading prices.
• Collecting tenant data from PGkaro to use outside the stay.
• Harassment, discrimination or unlawful activity.

Liability

We work hard to keep listings accurate but cannot guarantee every detail an owner provides. Visit before paying a deposit. To the extent the law allows, PGkaro's liability is limited to the fees you paid to PGkaro in the last 3 months.

Law and disputes

These terms follow the laws of India. Courts in Guwahati, Assam have jurisdiction. Write to support@pgkaro.com first — most issues are solved quickly.
